Dhruv Awasthi's route into AI did not start in a classroom. It started at home, with the parts of his first computer spread across a desk.
A short run in cybersecurity led him to AI, and he taught himself the field the unglamorous way: build, break, rebuild. Within a year he was working as a practitioner. By his second year of college he was in Bangalore, an intern promoted to Associate Data Scientist inside a month.
The reputation came from delivery - showing up when it mattered and keeping his word. When something had to get done, people said “Call Dhruv.”
Red Augment is that habit turned into a company. He also publishes what he tests: two peer-reviewed papers on AI evaluation with IIIT Bangalore, because a claim that has not survived a control group is a guess.

How it started
When Dhruv started working with businesses, he kept meeting the same gap: AI that was impressive in a demo and useless in production. It did not integrate with the systems companies already ran, it was inconsistent, and it was disconnected from the real use case.
Red Augment was built to close that gap - with a senior engineering team carrying 25+ years of combined experience, hired for capability and persistence, and pointed at the work that decides whether AI actually ships: evaluation, integration and deployment.
What began as one person's obsession with intelligent systems is now a studio running its own products in production and shipping client systems across four countries. Agentic platforms, private LLM deployments, automation pipelines - built to hold up after launch, not just at the demo.
Our vision
AI that holds up in production. We build systems that integrate with what businesses already run, get evaluated against observable behaviour rather than overall impressions, and stay accountable for outcomes after launch. The model is rarely the hard part - evaluation, integration and deployment are, so that is where we do our work.
